Guides practitioners of all levels through an experience with a singular aim: refining and cultivating a functional circle walking practice. Circle walking is the heart and soul of the Ba Gua system, and focusing on gaining proficiency in this keystone aspect of the method will ensure a smooth transition into learning the more advanced material. This weekly class will also rotate through various other fundamental exercises which help clarify the principles of Ba Gua and train the Ba Gua body dynamic.
Ba Gua Standing Meditation Zoom Class

One of Ba Gua’s most fundamental and transformative methods, standing meditation is a practice that can complement any other style of internal training. This weekly class guides practitioners of all levels through a 30 minute experience of this profound training method. Seamlessly combining mindfullness training and body integration, Ba Gua standing meditation is one of the most intensive ways to improve your habitual alignments and create an instinctively present, powerful body structure.
Ba Gua Circle Walking Intensive

Ding Shi (Held Posture) training, or walking the circle with the “mud step” in various held positions, is the essential root from which the entire art of Ba Gua Zhang springs. Training circle walking regularly is the core practice that allows all of the benefits of Ba Gua to manifest in the body and in life.
As a walking meditation, circle walking sharpens focus, cultivates mindfulness, heightens awareness, and trains the ability to stay calm under pressure
As a health and longevity practice, circle walking realigns and strengthens the tissues, regulates the breath, and improves the flow of qi, blood and fluids throughout the body
As a martial practice, circle walking improves footwork, hones sensitivity, sharpens responsiveness, and develops integrated, spiraling power
We will meet as a group at the main monument in the park, maintaining social distance. Masks are required to participate. We will also be taking temperatures on arrival and have plenty of sanitizer on hand.
